Since I started in this field, I have obtained over 10 years of work experience in both private and professional child care settings. I have worked as a private nanny for 3 years. I have interned and volunteered at my church nursery, I have also worked as a substitute teacher for various ages ranging from elementary to middle school. and have worked as an assistant and lead preschool teacher for 6+years.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping children to grow in confidence and their love of learning. Teaching not how to just memorize answers but how to problem solve and brainstorm. Teaching them how to create and come up with unique, safe and innovative ways to discover the world around them. I love what I do and I love helping to foster growth in each child I work with. Each child is a unique gift to this world and I love helping them discover who they are and the potential of what they can bring to the world around them.🙏
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many, but one that comes to mind first, it would have to be my first student. His name was Billy when I started with Billy, he was,having difficulty at school, with behavioral issues. He’d had one nanny who’d been with him from birth to two years and when she had to leave, they had three nannies start and quit in one year, because of this his parents asked me to commit to one full year of care and I did. On the first week, he tested me on every rule his parents had in place. He was a bit unkind with his words, and threw many tantrums, I consistently responded to him with love and redirection hoping and praying it would make a difference. At the end of the year he graduated his preschool and his behavior had improved so much that His teacher took the time to share with me how impressed she was and how she felt I had played a vital role in his development. which was a huge blessing for me to hear! My season with Billy and the ways he grew will forever be a favorite memory🙏
