A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Danielle! Aside from being a nanny, I am also a freelance marketing strategist and writer with a flair for art, cooking, storytelling, and learning. I love children, and I feel that we have a lot to learn from them. I find that in the same ways I can teach a child through lessons and activities, I similarly learn from them through their curiosity and nascent understanding of the world. I joke around about being more patient with kids than adults (we know better!), but I do take challenges as learning opportunities. I am bilingual, with a native fluency in both English and Russian. In my previous nannying role, I took care of a 9 year old Russian speaking girl and devised English speaking and reading lesson plans for her. As much as I value learning, I think that can also come in the form of games - I enjoy being silly and playing/creating games and songs together. I’m kind, compassionate, and I make a pretty good sandwich. I’m looking forward to getting to know you!

After two years of working as a teacher in Madrid I am returning to NYC! In Madrid I taught ages 6-8 in both English and Spanish.
