Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have always been involved with caring for children as soon as I was old enough! I have been babysitting for many years as well as had some consistent child care jobs while parents were at classes. I have nannied for a personal family in California for their 3 children that were all in middle school/high school. I have been a leader for vacation bible school day camps, as well as a middle school camp counselor. I have had experience with caring for infants on up, and I would love the opportunity to share more details with you if you consider me to look after your children!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing outside when the heat isn’t too unbearable, as well as sitting inside baking or playing with toys. I also love watching movies if you as the parent is comfortable with screen time!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a Nanny is SAFETY above everything else! With that being said, I also believe a very important part of being a nanny is keeping the lines of communication open with parents and keeping them informed of how their child is doing. I will be the adult in charge of their children while they are away from them, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I feel as though it is important to enforce the rules set in place by their parents/guardians in a loving and caring way. Overall, I believe building a relationship with not only the children, but as well as their parents is very important!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children on the Autism spectrum, and have some knowledge with febrile seizures, as my nephew tends to get them from time to time.
