I was working with a student I had who struggled getting along with others and listening to directions. After working with him for about a week I figured ways to get him to interact kindly with the other students while having the fun that he was wanting. Me and this student sat down and wrote a little list of candies and things he liked and when he was able to get through my class he would get a star and at then end of the week of he had 3 out of 5 stars he got a candy! ( side note: 3 is a big step seeing he was getting zero stars before! ) I ended up bonding with this student and he ended up doing great in his classes, he did switch schools which did make me heart a little sad!
