A little bit about me

I am a 17 year old babysitter, I have experience with different age groups and have worked with kids who have special needs. I am a high school graduate and available at any time throughout the week. I speak both Spanish and English, I can prep meals and pick up small messes around the household. I do not mind taking kids out for walks and being interactive with them at all.

Note: I would like to have a flexible schedule. I am well aware of medical care although I do not have a first aid certificate and I take note of allergies in foods. I will be turning 18 on December 18th.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do anything the kids want to!! I am very artsy myself so anything that has to do with arts and crafts is perfect. I also like going out for walks with them and letting them enjoy the fresh air. making food with them is also a fun activity and learning new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me is maintaining a good relationship with both the kid and the parents. Of course following the parents rules and the child's safety (in and out the house).

My experience with special needs children...

I have a 5-year old nonverbal autistic cousin who I have taken care of before and I have special needs myself and can handle other kids with special needs too. I've learned to pick up on their habits and what they do/don't like and go along with it. I've learned what makes them upset and refrain from it. I've learned some mechanisms that help relax kids with special needs when they are overstimulated/overwhelmed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favourite moment is honestly bond time with the kids, whether it'd be watching a movie with them or doing an activity, sharing time with them is always memorable.
