More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I completed the Safe Sitter course with John Hopkins All Children's Hospital in 2018, which included a variety of childcare and safety training including CPR certification. I have worked with multiple families, my longest time working with one family was for 3 years. More than willing to cook, help keep tidy and do chores, and I am pet friendly! Mostly familiar with kids ages 1-7years old, and working with 1-2 kids at a time but open to working with all children of all needs!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a very creative and artistic person myself so I love doing artistic activities like drawing, painting, or 3d arts/crafts! But I love seeing kids express their own unique interests so wether it be playing with toys or dolls, playing dress up or pretend/fantasy, reading books, outdoor activities, or watching their favorite shows Im always open to exploring their favorite activities!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Giving kids the space to feel safe and comfortable being themselves. Letting children express themselves and giving them a space where they can feel comfortable is crucial to their growing minds and wellbeing.
My experience with special needs children...
I do have some experience with special needs children, a family friend I have helped with a lot of work, including babysitting, has 2 boys both with learning disabilities and one with autism. I find it’s very important to give kids on the spectrum patience and understanding and I am very willing to work with kids on the spectrum and give them that space. Although i don’t have much other experience with other special needs I am very open to working with children of all needs.
