More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I took a child care class from the 9th - 12th grade. We had a “baby bolts” program where we volunteered and took care of the teachers / students children. I also babysat both of my nieces since they were newborn. I also babysat for a family a few months ago!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I mostly try to keep their little brains active, away from screens. I bring coloring books and crayons, drawing supplies, puzzles, games, etc. The minimum screen time they will get with me is either for their school work (which i will most definitely help with!) or if we decide to have a small fun movie night. Outdoor activities for me would be going to the park (if allowed), playing in the backyard even if that meant tag or other children’s games. For the little ones under the age of 5, i do have some baby games and such we could play with as well. I also come with many many educational games.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion the most important part is making sure the children are happy. I understand they may be cautious at first since I am basically a stranger to them but I always strive to win their little hearts and let them know that they are safe with me.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any experience with special needs children EXCEPT children with down syndrome. I am open to learning more and hopefully be able to care for them to my best ability. I do have some knowledge due to my child development class.
