I enjoy planning a mix of fun and educational indoor and outdoor activities for kids ages 3 to 13. Indoors, I love doing arts and crafts, story time, baking simple treats, and playing age-appropriate games or puzzles. Outdoors, I enjoy organizing nature walks, playground time, scavenger hunts, water play, and group games like tag or relay races. I always aim to keep activities engaging, safe, and suited to each child’s age and interests.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite and funniest moments while mentoring kids was during a church convention when a 4-year-old confidently told me he was “ready to drive home” because he had his toy keys and “knew the way.” Instead of correcting him right away, I played along, and we turned it into a little game where he “drove” us to imaginary places like the ice cream shop and the zoo. It was such a sweet reminder of how imaginative and full of joy kids can be. Moments like that remind me how important it is to nurture their creativity while keeping them safe and engaged ,which is exactly what I love to do as a caregiver.
