A little bit about me

Hi families! My name is Deborah, and I’ve been working with kids professionally since 2016. I started out at the YMCA as an after-school counselor for children ages 5–8 and loved it so much that I went on to become a summer camp counselor for two seasons. In 2018, I began working as a private nanny, and since then I’ve had the joy of caring for little ones from newborns all the way up to 12 years old.

I’m fluent in both English and Portuguese, which makes it fun to introduce kids to a new language through songs, games, and everyday conversation. I’m also currently working on my bachelor’s degree online, which allows me to stay flexible and dedicated to the families I work with.

My goal as a nanny is always to create a warm, positive environment where children can thrive and parents can feel at ease knowing their little ones are in great hands!

I have several years of experience working with children with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome. I approach every child with patience, creativity, and flexibility to help them feel supported and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was seeing a toddler I cared for take their very first steps. Being part of such a big milestone and watching their excitement reminded me why I love this work so much.
