Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going for walks, playing in the back yard. Reading with sound effects at times, kid music, me singing, learning how to crawl, walk (run), playing with toys together, cuddling, feeding and rocking to sleep. The days are enjoyable to lots of fun. I could go on and on. No other job fills my soul and makes me happy like being a child's nanny.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Everything. It's all being a part of a child's life. To get to help them learn, develop, play and everything inbetween. To watching them sleep and seeing their little eyelashes, eyebrows, little fingernails, baby feet, all a miracle to protect and cherish. I've even experienced a major blow out on my brand new black scrubs! Mama sent me home to change. We just about died laughing! My new car stunk for days! 🤭
My experience with special needs children...
I've worked with autism. Patience, love, encouragement and listening. The child became my greatest lap sitter and dream-maker.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My toddler heard me say "Uh oh" when she opened her dresser drawer and pulled out her clothes. Then one morning when I pulled up in front of the house, I didn't notice that her mom opened the screen door and when I got out of my car and went to the passenger side to grab my purse and gear bag, I heard, "Uh oh!" like it was a warning. I dropped everything and just stood there laughing. Her mom opened the screen and she quickly tottled over to me!
