Connecting with not only the child but the family! On my last day, everyone was emotional, including the child who is autistic, lacks social skills and doesn’t like physical contact or long conversation. The child surprisingly gave me a hug, wrote me a short story and expressed that they’ll miss me. Both parents were sad and the mother even cried (with me). Knowing that I had made a positive impact on the child and the parents was a highlight that shows how much I care!
