More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As an auntie of several (7 months-11 years), I currently provide childcare for 6 children, 5 days a week. My duties include: homework (reading, writing, math), teacher check-ins, field trip chaperone, transportation to/from school and extracurricular activities, meal provision (I love cooking!), household cleaning, changing diapers, nap time, movie nights, bedtime stories and overall nurturing.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Painting/Art, building forts, teaching/helping with homework, playing games, using our imagination.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is the child or children’s perspective. Does the child feel comfortable, heard, nurtured? Do they seem to be progressing in any way? Are they expressing positive behavior and habits? Each of these questions are directly correlated with the nanny’s influence. It is important to me to fulfill the needs of the child, full-court. Or in other words, beyond the basics of making sure they are fed and without broken bones. A nanny should make it a priority to learn the child and connect with them on a meaningful level. That approach is imperative in becoming the “stand-in” figure that is a nanny’s role in a family dynamic.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with caring for children on the autistic spectrum, neurodivergency such as ADHD/ADD, as well as unique learning needs such as dyslexia.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My oldest nephew (11 yrs old) has a new interest in basketball. He was so excited to master dribbling but was having trouble shooting the ball. We practiced together and with encouragement, he made his first three! He immediately ran to me and hugged me while saying “WOAH! How did I do that? How did YOU know I could do that?!”. I encourage each of them to pursue their talents, whatever that might be depending on the week, and I love instilling in them that they can and will achieve anything they set their heart on. It was nice to know that he really does receive and internalize my love and encouragement—so much so that it reassures/motivates him. Moments like those are truly priceless.

Hi! I'm moving to Chicago this fall to start my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northwestern, and I'm looking for a part-time nanny position with flexible hours that can work around my classes.
This is my first time nannying professionally, but I've spent years around kids and families in other ways. I have adjunct teaching experience and coursework in human development and family systems, plus a background in mentorship and community leadership, so I know how to connect with people, build trust, and show up consistently.
I'm warm, patient, and genuinely love being around kids. I show up on time, communicate clearly, and treat your family's routines and values with respect. If you're looking for someone reliable who's easy to have around and easy to talk to, I'd love to meet you and your kids.

Hi! My name is Tess Schober I’m 17 years old and going into my senior year of high school! I’m looking for a part time nannying job for after school. I’m currently working at a boutique, a hair salon, and nanny 3 days a week in the summer. I’ve decided I won’t be working at the hair salon anymore so I want to get some extra hours in doing something else! I have been babysitting for around 7 years now (since I was 10). I’m excellent with kids and have 10 little cousins who I always babysit and I have around 7 families living on my block with children under the age of 10 who I’m always babysitting for! I’d be available to come Mondays, Thursdays, and one other day of the week (depending on my boutique schedule). My hours would be after school, I end school at 3pm so I could be there at 3:30 depending on where you live and I could be there til whenever! My hours are very flexible! Please reach out if you’re interested in me being your nanny!

Part-Time Nanny Available in Chicago, IL: Emily H.
Hello!
My name is Emily, I am a 20 year old college student studying occupational therapy for children. I am very much interested In being your after school sitter as I feel like this could be potentially a great match for both! Before the pandemic I was a summer recreational leader for the CPD at a local park where I would oversee the care, safety, and the activities to keep 20 kids active all day. Besides this I have volunteered at a local daycare center and I’m actively taking on occasional babysitting positions for children around 3-10 years old so I have plenty of experience not only caring for but also tutoring if that is of interest at any point in time. I absolutely love taking care of children and I do love working with various age groups as I am working to be the best in my career as a pediatric OT. I’d love to get to know you more as well so if you have any questions or any concerns please feel free to reach out and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi! I'm a reliable 17 y/o woman, I work really good with kids as well as enjoy their company. I'm still a high school student but everything is remote except on Mondays and Tuesdays. I can still work those days but not until after 3 plus time to get ready and go to your destination.
