I have worked in children’s theatre education going on three years now! I fulfilled internships while in college and am a current faculty member at Casa Mañana in Fort Worth! I’ve also done a lot of babysitting for local families over the years—classic income move for a 20-something :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really love doing educational activities like reading or playing games that help them with counting, spelling, sharing, colors, etc. It is so sweet to see kids start to understand things better! I think it’s also fun to do outdoor things and give them a chance for some fresh air! We all could use a bit of sun after the last couple of years!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making things feel as normal as possible for the kids! Routine is so important and if the parent is going to trust me with their kiddos, I want to make sure that they feel secure and at home regardless!
My experience with special needs children...
Unfortunately, I lack experience with special needs children and probably wouldn’t be the best candidate for those circumstances!
