Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in a variety of activities that stimulate their creativity and learning. Craft projects, such as painting and making DIY crafts, are always a hit, allowing kids to express themselves artistically. Outdoor adventures, including nature walks, scavenger hunts, and playing sports, are fantastic for burning off energy and exploring the world around us. I also enjoy reading stories, which not only entertain but also foster a love for books and imagination. Indoor games and puzzles are great for developing problem-solving skills and teamwork. Cooking simple recipes together can be a fun and educational experience, teaching kids about measurements and healthy eating. Whether it's building a fort, having a dance party, or doing science experiments, I aim to create a diverse range of fun and educational activities that cater to each child's interests and abilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are having fun, safe, and feel appreciated and taken care of.
My experience with special needs children...
Caring for a deaf child at a day camp in Atlanta was an incredibly rewarding experience. I learned to communicate effectively through basic sign language and gestures, ensuring they felt included and understood. I was also able to effectively communicate with them through reading lips. This experience deepened my empathy and taught me the importance of adaptability and patience in providing a supportive environment for all children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I saw the joy on the kids' faces as we built a giant fort out of blankets and pillows one of the rooms at camp. It reminded me of the simple pleasures of childhood. Sharing that magical moment with them was truly heartwarming and unforgettable.
