The most important part about being a nanny...
There are too many! It is always wonderful to build relationships with children and seeing them learn and grow. Children are so witty and that leads to many sweet and funny moments.
One of my favorite memories is connected to a toddler I used to take care of for a couple of years. He used to ask for a PB&J sandwich for lunch every day. He loved to help me prepare the sandwich every day and sometimes we made one for me, too. When it was close to Christmas and he was shopping with his mom for gifts for their family. he mentioned me in the peanut butter aisle and demanded that she gets me peanut butter for Christmas , because he thought I really liked it. My heart melted. <3

Babysitter Available in Burlington, VT: Emmy D.
Hi! I’m Emmy and I am a student studying psychology and English at UVM with a strong interest in working with children! I’ve spent time volunteering with pediatric cancer patients and their families, as well as tutoring kids and helping teach dance classes, so I’m very comfortable working with children in different settings and age groups.
I’m patient, reliable, and love creating a positive, supportive environment, whether that’s helping with homework, reading together, doing crafts, or just keeping kids engaged and having fun. I’m especially interested in child development, so I really value being attentive and understanding each child’s individual needs and adapting to them.
I also love cats and dogs, so I would be very happy to help in a pet-having household!

Makena or Na-na as our toddler son affectionately calls her was an amazing nanny, who helped us mon-fri during a long vacation in Stowe. Makena was very creative and active- she took our son on regular walks, outdoor adventures, and bike rides. She has no problem changing diapers, nap time, feeding him etc. We can’t recommend her flexibility and punctuality enough. She’s a wonderful caregiver. She receives very high remarks from two exhausted parents.”
