Hi there family, I hope you are all having a blessed week so far. My name is Derraya Smith, I’m am 28 years old and I’m from Phg. I have a love and passion for kids of all ages and I love working with them and watching them progress into amazing humans. When I was 20 I worked in a gym caring for babies from ages 10mths- 7 while their moms and dads worked out for a few hours. Although it was temporary I loved every moment of it and grew beyond close to so many babies and families during those 2 years. The trust and appreciation those parents had for me will forever be in graved in my heart. I don’t have any children of my own yet, I’m a fur mommy, however I have a host of nieces and nephews, and I must say, I’m the favorite aunt! lol I see you have two little boys and they are at the perfect ages for us to have sooo much fun, especially this summer! I also have some history in home health care so I’ve also cared for older folks as well, however caring for children is where my heart is.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in a childcare facility with in a gym and cared after children ranging from all ages while their moms and dads worked out for a few hours. I also have worked in home health care, where I cared for and meal prepped for older folks. I loved both positions whole heartedly.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing at the park, swimming in the summer, ice skating in the winter. Museums for education purposes. Homework studies, coloring, ice cream parties. Pretty much, whatever the children love to do.

Assuring that the kids are happy, comfortable and well taken care of to be able to fully be and express them selves around you.

My experience with special needs children...

I work in an industry where I encounter all different kind of people daily. Special needs is no challenge for me. I also care for my younger cousin often who is autistic.

When kids grow to love and care for you so much you leave an imprint on their hearts. Kids excited to see me would be my all time favorite.
