The most important part about being a nanny...

Every family is so different so you must expect there are different reasons for being brought on as a nanny. But one thing that is hopefully and usually universal is that everyone want what's best for the children. I think it is our job to create a safe, caring, fun and also knowledge provoking environment for the kids whenever you can.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was helping this little boy who had a learning disability prepare for his first year of school and his parents were worried about him being behind the other kids. I worked with him for months on his letters, numbers, etc. and on his first week of school his parents sent me a picture of his first assignment and he has spelled his name almost perfectly and drawn heart and triangle doodles all around. It doesn't seem that big of a deal but it was a goal we worked so hard to reach and I had never been more proud.
