More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at Safety Swim with children ages 2 months to 18. This included infants and special needs children. Safety Swim did not require a CPR certification. I was a junior firefighter, police explorer and civil air patrol cadet in my younger years which required me to help and work with children. In my past jobs I have also showed leadership roles and mature responsibilities which lead me to having positions such as shift leaders and managers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking in nature with kids. I think it is important to let children get out their energy with games or art and crafts. In my past I find that kids like to go to the farm and see the animals, learn about new things and play outside. It is also important that kids have relaxing time so they don't feel over-worked.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of caring for children is having a connection with them. Taking their feelings into consideration and making them as happy as possible. I believe every child wants to feel special so having fun and keeping their day bright is the best way to go!

My experience with special needs children...

In my prior career at Safety Swim, I taught special needs children how to swim. This takes time and patience, but all that and love can go a long way!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Mt favorite nanny moment was when the 1 y/o girl I was watching got so happy when I put her bathing suit on. she looked at me and smiles and knew we were going to play in her favorite kiddie pool!
