Over the summer I took some kids to pools and outdoor activities. Especially during the summer I’m much more open to doing outdoor things rather than indoor.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important thing about being a nanny is making sure the child is comfortable. It means a lot when a kid feels like they can talk to you or just feels safe around you. It’s also important to be fun and show them what life is about!! I may be a bit young but I want to show the kids it’s all about having fun and being your true self.
My experience with special needs children...
The church I used to work for had a special need kid come in. The parents didn’t tell us ahead of time so we weren’t aware of his condition. Once I found out it was easier for me to calm him down. Eventually I adapted to his personality and was able to help him feel less overwhelmed about the situation.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was watching a little girl and it was very stormy that day so the power ended up going out while she was in the middle of watching a show. She was very confused but we ended up playing with some toys. Her parents were glad I didn’t freak out when the power went out. I thought it was pretty funny though.
