Hi! My first name is Destiny, but I prefer to be called Kathleen. I have never worked in a childcare setting, but I raised three of my nieces and a nephew. My nephew is autistic, and i also have experience with severe asthma and infantile epilepsy. I have also volunteered at the boys and girls club, the avenue church nursery, and at Dunaway Elementary. I am a mother to a beautiful daughter! I am married and looking to help support my family in a fun way!

I volunteered at my local Boys and Girls Clubs in two locations. I also volunteered for one year in a first grade class. I have also volunteered in my local church nursery.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I will enjoy any fun things children have in mind, but my personal favorites are reading, duck duck goose, and hide and seek.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is making sure the parents feel like you are an extension of them. We are not the child’s parent, but we must love and care for them the way their parents would. The parents need to feel not only safe, but happy, leaving their children with us.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with autism. My nephew is 12, and high functioning on the spectrum. I am very close with him and have been pivotal to his developmental process over the years.
