I am 40 years old with 2 kids of my own. I have been working with young children for 17 years I have an Associates Degree and a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have a directors credential. I'm familiar with what domains a child needs to have growth in his/her development. I am reliable and I'm CPR certifies and even have my food handlers certification. I love to cook and I'm not afraid to do some housework. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I live to do science experiments with children because ot allows them to see change and understand more of what they are seeing. It allows them to think form their own ideas until we actually do it and see the outcome. It teaches about cause and effect and even math skills are involved when doing science because things have to be measured. So it doesn't only teach one of the developmental domains it teaches more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing is showing the children that they are In a safe and secure environment so that they can explore and learn in a stress free place. Also them knowing I'm there to help them whenever needed. I'm the constant that doesnt change and for children consistency is key.

My experience with special needs children...

I've only had maybe 3 years with special needs children and spread out. It was somewhat challenging but it was nothing I didn't get through or deal with. Sometimes all it takes is listening that can make all the difference. I also have learned how to read people by pay attention to body language. Tone of voice, differences in their facial expressions.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have not been a nanny before so I don't know yet but as far as being a preschool teacher my Favorite moments are seeing the children's face light up when they come into the room ready and excited to see what activity we are doing that day. It makes me hopeful and happy that they are excited to learn.
