Hi, I’m Sabrina! I’m 21 and a political science student at SCU. I’m a tennis player and cat mom to two lovely little black cats, Salem and Mochi. I have experience with kids ages 2-12, and I’ve been told I’m a kid magnet; I can always get a laugh out of them. That being said, I also am great at comforting kids when they’re upset. When conflicts come up, I can be stern yet respectful towards them; I understand that they’re still human beings - just a little smaller. Kids are incredibly clever and perceptive if you give them the opportunity to speak their mind, and I don’t “baby-talk” at all. I have experience in psychology and have worked with several neurodiverse children with great success! I hope we’ll make a great fit.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The kids I’ve looked after have a wide variety of interests, from slime to running laps around the track and many more. The parents I’ve worked for have had a big emphasis on little TV/electronics access, so I’m great with a board game and drawing together. Trips to the park are always fun too!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Respect. Between me and the kids, me and the parents, and the kids with their parents. We’re all people trying our best and I try to meet every situation with compassion and kindness.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with several autism spectrum children and they’ve appreciated my patience and compassion. They’re very sweet kids and one has even gone so far to say he sees me as a big sister.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I tend to borrow my boyfriend’s jackets and they’re a bit big on me, and one time a little girl I looked after asked me if she could try it on. It was absolutely huge on her and made me cry laughing. Definitely took a picture and sent it to her parents!
