The most important part about being a nanny is building a genuine, trusting connection with the children. I love learning about what they’re passionate about and fostering their growth in those areas. Growing up as an only child, I really value being able to support, engage with, and care for kids in a way that helps them feel safe, understood, and encouraged to explore and grow. Consistency, patience, and understanding each child’s unique needs are key to being a positive influence in their daily life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have supported children with a range of physical, developmental, and behavioral needs across several childcare roles. This includes caring for a child with asthma, where I monitored symptoms, administered inhalers, managed breathing treatments, and remained attentive to environmental triggers. I have also worked with a child with autism, adapting my communication style, recognizing sensory triggers, and creating a calm, predictable environment to support regulation and security. Additionally, I have cared for children with ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, assisting with medication routines, reinforcing structure and consistency, and supporting emotional regulation during moments of dysregulation with patience and empathy.
