A little bit about me

My passion has been to teach children from the time I was in junior high. I was teaching them sewing to how to play musical instruments like the guitar, flute, trumpet, recorder and piano. In my late 20''s I gave music instruction at my church and was involved with children of all ages and continue to do this to this day. Crafts is also something I love to do and teach. There are so many stories that are needing to be read to children whether it is about the Pony Express, biographies of people that inspire us or books that teach us how to sew or build a birdhouse! I have raised my twins, a boy and girl and loved being a mom and look forward to helping families with their children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at my church helping out with what is called Pathfinders for 10 years. These children are aged 10-12. During my high school years, I worked for the Terry family, watching their 4 children while mom and dad had their time together. Every Sunday I either had 2-4 of the children while mom and took the others with them for outings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Crafting such as... building bird houses from wood that I have cut with my saw; sewing, cross stitch, painting, crochet, building from wood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making the child feel they are cared about... truly loved.

My experience with special needs children...

kids who required tube feedings; children who were termed "near drownings".

Baby girl... she would grab the bars and "bounce" up and down... and just grin from ear to ear, screeching while doing it... have a blast.. throw her arms up in the air..... really enjoying herself. Giggling a LOT!
