A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Drew and I am a SAHM to a 1 year old girl. I am 22 years old. I am looking for a part time position allowing me to bring my daughter. I have been working with children since I was 9 years old. I have First Aid/CPR training for Adults and Children/Infants. I have experience working in a daycare as well as previous nannying experiences. I also have some knowledge about Early Childhood Education but did not end up completing the courses unfortunately. I am doing this because I want to help my family financially and ease the burden of it all for my husband. Because of this I wished to go back to my old days of nannying to help since it is the only job I love and am truly good at.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was given the opportunity to be the lead teacher in the toddler room at the daycare. I worked with 8, 2 year olds everyday and I loved it. I have also worked in our infant room as a lead teacher as well!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing school! It is a fast and fun way for them to learn and get them slightly used to classroom settings in a way. I also love the outdoors and walking. If it's really cold we can stay inside and make forts and watch movies and do crafts!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is that I want the little ones to have a fun and safe environment to grow and learn as little individuals. But besides the learning I want them to have fun and have another person they can openly talk to and feel safe with. I want to give them a sense of comfort while parents are gone working. Let them know they are never alone.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have experience in this area but I would be willing to learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most memorable moment was when one of my students was giving me sass and I gave her a little sass back and she thought it was hilarious she broke out laughing which made me laugh. I also love when my students call me Ms. Drew, it makes my heart absolutely melt. I also have a little boy in my class that is non-verbal and when he gets upset he looks around for me and once he spots me he runs to me and hugs me super tight. It is the best feeling to know that my students feel safe and comforted to come to me when they have big emotions and need a little support.
