A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Dylan!😊 I have about four years of experience working with children from ages 0–11, including those with different developmental needs. I’ve worked closely with kids as an ABA therapist, which has helped me develop patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to each child’s unique personality and needs. I also babysat my younger sister and my niece throughout high school, so I’m very comfortable creating a safe, fun, and structured environment at home.

I’m currently a college student at Georgia State University pursuing a degree in finance, while continuing my passion for helping others grow and thrive.

Outside of school, I train in Mixed Martial Arts and compete regularly. That experience has taught me discipline, responsibility, and how to stay calm and focused in stressful situations, which are qualities I bring into work!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience working as an ABA therapist, supporting children with special needs and helping them grow in a positive, structured environment. I also spent several years babysitting my younger sister and niece throughout high school, which gave me hands-on experience with daily routines and childcare. In addition, I worked with children at the Kids Center at Life Time Fitness, where I helped create a safe, fun, and engaging space for kids of all ages.

I enjoy doing a variety of engaging activities with children, especially spending time outdoors. I’m a big fan of nature, so I love going on walks, playing at the park, and encouraging kids to explore and stay active. I also enjoy creative activities like arts and crafts, as well as interactive play that helps support learning and development!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment working with children actually comes from my experience as an ABA therapist! I was working with a child who had difficulty using words to communicate his needs and would mostly point instead. We spent a lot of time practicing how to ask, or “mand,” for things, and it was a challenge at first. But one day, he came in and was able to say phrases like “open please” and “help please.” Seeing how proud and happy he was in that moment, realizing his own progress, was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me why I love working with children and helping them grow.
