More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience working with children from infancy through school age in both daycare and private home settings. I began in a daycare caring for infants, supporting early developmental milestones such as crawling, standing, and walking. I have also worked with multiple families at once, including infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. My responsibilities included managing daily routines, meal preparation, hygiene, school routines, homework help, and bedtime structure. My experience also includes overnight care, live-in positions, travel nannying, and supporting children during illness, including administering medication when needed.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy creating engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and creativity. This includes reading, arts and crafts, music time, circle time activities, outdoor play, and trips to the park or library. I also enjoy helping children with developmental learning activities such as early writing, counting, and interactive play that builds confidence and independence. I believe in balancing fun with structure, so I enjoy creating routines that include both educational and playful moments throughout the day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children feel secure and supported. I believe consistency, patience, and structure are key in helping children grow emotionally, socially, and developmentally. Strong communication with parents is also very important, as it ensures we are working together to support the child’s needs. A great nanny not only cares for children but also helps build trust, stability, and positive daily experiences within the home.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for a child with autism where I provided support with daily routines, communication, and developmental skills. I assisted with potty training, speech development, hygiene routines such as brushing teeth, and structured daily schedules. I also supported emotional regulation, patience-building, and consistency with routines to help create a stable and predictable environment. I worked closely with the child to encourage independence while maintaining patience and understanding of their individual needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was creating a consistent daily routine for the children I cared for in a live-in position. We built a structured “mini school day” at home that included circle time, learning activities, reading, and creative play.
Seeing the children become excited about routines, especially moments like story time and trips to the library, was very rewarding. It was meaningful to watch them grow more confident, comfortable, and engaged in their daily activities.
