A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Edrea, and I’m a college student with a strong passion for working with children. I have several years of experience through babysitting and tutoring, as well as volunteering as a Children’s Volunteer Assistant at the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center. I also bring experience from working in a pediatric dental office, where I learned how to make kids feel comfortable and cared for in a professional setting.

I love creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for kids of all ages. I’m also happy to help with light housework and keeping your home tidy. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy helping families feel supported. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and see how I can help!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Babysitting and tutoring jobs, where I supported children with homework and engaged them in creative activities; volunteering as a Children’s Volunteer Assistant at the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, where I helped provide a safe and welcoming space for kids in need; and working at a pediatric dental office, where I interacted daily with children and helped ensure they felt calm and cared for during their visits.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing creative and engaging activities like arts and crafts, reading stories, playing educational games, and spending time outside for walks or playtime. I also enjoy helping with homework and finding fun ways to make learning enjoyable. Whether it’s imaginative play, board games, or simple baking projects, I enjoy activities that let kids express themselves and have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a child I regularly babysat learn to read their first full book on their own. We had been practicing together for weeks, and seeing their excitement and pride when they finished it was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me how special it is to be part of those small but meaningful milestones in a child’s life.
