A little bit about me

Growing up as the eldest sibling of someone with special needs has shaped the way I see the world. It’s taught me patience, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the little things in life. Watching my sibling overcome challenges and find joy in the simplest moments has given me a perspective that many people don’t get to experience.

That’s why I love children so much. Their innocence, their curiosity, and the way they find happiness in the smallest things remind me of what truly matters. Every child is unique, and I find so much joy in understanding them, guiding them, and just being present in their world. Life isn’t about perfection—it’s about love, kindness, and celebrating every moment, no matter how small.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working as a cashier, photographer assistant, and sales associate has taught me patience, quick thinking, and multitasking—essential skills for caring for children, who are always on the move. As a cashier, I learned to stay calm under pressure and engage with families. Assisting in photography required me to capture children’s attention and keep them entertained. Sales taught me how to handle unpredictable situations and communicate effectively. During unemployment, I was frequently hired for babysitting, reinforcing my ability to adapt, nurture, and create a safe, fun environment. These experiences have made me resourceful, attentive, and skilled in managing energetic little ones.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Back in the day, I loved drawing and playing active games like hide-and-seek, tag, and imaginative role-play—always making sure they were safe and age-appropriate for kids. I enjoyed bringing stories to life, letting creativity take the lead. When it came to learning through fun, I always encouraged puzzles, riddles, and storytime reading, inspired by my own love for writing. I found joy in engaging children in activities that kept them moving, thinking, and imagining, creating a balance between play and learning. These experiences shaped my approach to childcare, making it both fun and meaningful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive. It’s about more than just watching over them—it’s building trust, offering guidance, and being a positive influence in their lives. Patience, understanding, and adaptability are key, as every child is unique with their own needs and personality. It’s about balancing fun and learning, encouraging curiosity, and being there for them emotionally. Most of all, it’s about making them feel valued, supported, and loved every step of the way.

My experience with special needs children...

From the moment my brother was born, I’ve always taken good care of him. When we found out he had autism, I felt an even stronger need to protect him—while still treating him like any other person deserves. Growing up, I made sure he was included, understood, and loved. Now, living with cousins who also have special needs has given me an even greater perspective on the world. I’ve learned that people with special needs are no different from anyone else; they simply experience life in their own way. I believe in treating everyone fairly while having a deeper understanding of their unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite thing about being a nanny is seeing children’s smiles over the simplest things—whether it’s a silly joke, a fun game, or just watching a butterfly flutter by. Their pure joy and excitement remind me that happiness isn’t found in big, complicated moments but in the little things we often overlook. Caring for them has taught me to appreciate life’s simplicity more than anything. It’s in those small, everyday moments that I see the most genuine happiness, and that’s what makes being a nanny so special to me.
