I currently work full-time at an elementary school here in Glendale, AZ. I am an Educational Assistant and work both in and out of the classroom with small groups of students ages 5-12.
I work as a camp counselor back home during the breaks caring for kids ages 5-12. We provide different engaging activities for all the kids as well as have breaks for lunch and everyday swimming. Every camp counselor is required to be first aid/CPR certified as well as complete a background check prior to working for this established daycare.
During high school, my mom owned an at-home daycare and I helped her care for the younger children that she watched.
I also mentioned that I am the oldest of 5 kids so growing up I had to help a lot around the house watching my younger siblings.
