Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as an Assistant Teacher at a Preschool where I was mainly in the 2 year-old classroom with up to 15 children and was in charge of organizing daily lesson plans and activities. I also completed 2 continuing education programs on Environmental Education and was so excited to implement that in my classroom!
I have also recently been working at a Nature Center where I had the opportunity to lead environmental education summer camp activities with preschool and elementary school students. I also led programming for families in the nature center's learning garden with activities such as; harvesting plants to make our own food and interactive lessons about composting.

One summer when I was nannying 3 children, I took them to the farmer's market as a "field trip". We got some food and were sitting at a table, when the 10 year old and 7 year old went to go to the bathroom. When they came back, they had bought a bouquet for me! It had been a pretty difficult morning and this moment really brought tears to my eyes and reminded me that we don't always see the immediate effects of the work that we're doing, but we do have lasting impacts on the children we work with!
