More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a summer camp counselor for various ages at Camas Meadows for about 3 years. I have worked with kids at my lifeguarding job being a swim instructor with about 4 years of experience as well as a rock climbing instructor for various ages for about a year! I have also worked many day camps for soccer, hockey and swimming. In addition to this, a have babysat many family friends over the years along with my newly 8 month old nephew! I have also been a part time nanny for 2 children for about 1 full year.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be outside! Swimming, playing tag, throwing a ball, taking walks or even just sitting in the grass! I’m a big fan of arts and crafts, coming up with new things to make, a picking a super fun movie for the slower days! I like to be creative with how to spend time, read books and come up with new ways to learn facts and skills alike.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe it’s important to learn from the kids as much as we teach them! Kindness and patience are most important when spending a lot of time with kids, as they just want someone to listen to them and show kindness to what they’re saying, doing or wanting!
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have much experience with special needs children but I am always happy to learn and feel that my skillset makes me more than equipped to.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments have included taking walks to little libraries then reading the books when we got home, baking with the kiddos and making cleaning a new game.
