Hello!! My name is Elijah, and I am studying to become an English teacher at UofSC! I have been nannying for over five years now with children 12 months and older, and I have experience tutoring and teaching. I also worked and taught at the EdVenture Children's Museum right here in Columbia!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I once cared for three children: a middle schooler, a elementary schooler, and a 12 month old. I cared for them for two years before the oldest was ready to care for her siblings.

I meal prepped, helped with homework, played games with them, and cared for their dogs with them in bed on time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Kids require patience and understanding. A lot of it. They're learning how to be a person from scratch and it's important to teach them - with patience - how to be a person with their own likes, dislikes, hobbies, and personality.

My experience with special needs children...

My family has multiple people on the spectrum, including my older brother. He has severe autism and is unable to care for himself. I took care of him on multiple occasions for my entire life, while sticking to his preferred routine.
