The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where kids feel cared for and understood. Children need someone they can trust, who listens, encourages them, and helps them explore the world in a positive way. Patience, responsibility, and creativity are key, along with clear communication with both children and parents to make sure everyone feels comfortable and happy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for a preschooler with autism, who is my half-brother’s mother’s child. I’ve spent time helping him with daily routines, engaging him in play, and supporting him with patience and understanding. I focus on creating a safe and structured environment where he can feel comfortable while exploring, learning, and having fun. This experience taught me the importance of flexibility, observation, and clear communication to meet the needs of each child, and I enjoy being someone kids with special needs can rely on.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are when I get to play games with kids and keep them entertained. I love coming up with fun ways for them to be creative, active, and engaged, and seeing them happy makes me really happy too. Moments like that remind me why I enjoy babysitting, being able to make a child’s day fun and exciting is the best part of the job.
