A little bit about me

I graduated from Garces Memorial High School in 2022. I am currently attending UCSB and am in Bakersfield for the summer. I was raised in a large family and enjoy taking care of younger kids as I have done so since I was young. While at UCSB, I have gained experience working with kids through our education classes. I went to Harding University Partnership Elementary School and worked with kids on their reading and math skills. In addition, I administered critical reading assessments to gauge their reading abilities. Last summer, I worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Kern County for their after school program at Eissler Elementary. There, I received CPR, First Aid, and AED training on top of more experience with kids at the school site. I am energetic, enthusiastic, and sympathetic. I hope I will be a good fit!

I enjoy playing with kids whether it be games such as hide and seek, board games, or even helping them learn through academic games. I also am completely fine with kids programs on TV.

The most important is making the kid feel comfortable and to ensure that they have fun. A child’s childhood should be filled with fun and enjoyable moments and I believe that is the most important part is making them feel comfortable and safe so they can have fun.
