Hi my name is Elle, I am an experienced career nanny/house manager. I have worked as an infant nanny, travel nanny/house manager, and a nanny/ house manager for a toddler with special needs. I studied to become a Kindergarten teacher at Sonoma State University then went straight into being a nanny. I found that I can teach and do so much more when nannying. I am CPR certified, First Aid certified, a strong swimmer, clean driving record, and able to travel National and internationally. Outside of doing what I love for work, I enjoy camping, swimming, and doing crafts.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have full time nannied an amazing little boy starting when he was newly 3 years old ending at 5 1/2 years old, and an infant baby boy starting when he was 3 months old for about 7 months. My most current nanny job has been for a toddler boy with special needs and his 6 year old sister. I have helped out in my mother’s TK class for years since I was 14, tutored for 2nd-6th grade, babysat many kids ages 1-12 since I was 14, and taken care of my younger brother.
My travel nanny/ house manager job I managed the little boy’s sport schedule, daily home education, meal planning, cleaning the house, toy rotation, doing his laundry, play dates, strengthening mental and physical development, creating a daily routine, and traveling with them about once a month with the longest trip being 2 weeks in Europe.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have always loved playing with kids outside. Doing sports, catching bugs, flying kites, going to playgrounds, and blowing bubbles. If we are inside I have fun drawing, making forts, building blocks, playdoh, reading, science experiments, and playing make believe going where ever their imagination takes us.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is safety, you are trusting me with your babies and I take that very seriously. I know I am fully capable of keeping your children safe and respect the trust you have given me. The second most important part is to have a fun and enjoyable time. This may be a job but it is also time being spent with your kids and they deserve to enjoy the person looking after them. I hope they feel comfortable, safe, and have a good time with me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have helped out in classrooms where there has been autistic, adhd, down syndrome, hard of hearing, and physically disabled children. My most one on one experience is in high school I took a leadership PE class where our special needs peers had us help them learn physical activities. I developed a strong relationship with one girl who has down syndrome and we had so much fun together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when I made a treasure hunt for the little 4 year old boy I was nannying. I took his favorite toys and a few quarters and buried them in a box in the back yard. I made a big map for him to follow to the treasure. We were both fully dressed a pirates and I made up a legend of a town pirate that buries kids toys. That was a year ago and still now once every couple weeks I make a new treasure map that “Blue Beard the pirate” gave me.
