A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Rafanelli. I’m dependable, attentive, and someone who takes childcare seriously while still creating a warm and positive environment for children.

I have hands-on childcare experience, including a live-in nanny role caring for twins, where I helped with daily routines, homework, meal preparation, outings, bedtime routines, and keeping structure in the home while making sure the children felt comfortable and supported.

I believe trust, consistency, communication, and patience are important when caring for children. Every child is different, so I try to pay attention to their personality, routines, and what helps them feel secure and thrive.

I’m open to full-time & short-term opportunities.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have hands-on childcare experience through professional nanny work, home health aide experience, and years of personal childcare responsibility within my own family.

Most recently, I worked in a live-in nanny role caring for twins, helping with school routines, homework, meal preparation, outings, bedtime routines, and maintaining structure in the home while supporting their daily needs.

My home health aide experience has strengthened my patience, attentiveness, communication, responsibility, and ability to remain calm and dependable in different situations.

Beyond professional experience, much of my childcare background began in my early teens helping care for my younger siblings with bathing, brushing teeth, bedtime routines, potty training support, meals, and comforting them through the night. Those experiences helped me realize how naturally childcare comes to me and how much I genuinely enjoy caring for children of all ages, especially babies and toddlers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like doing things that actually keep kids engaged and having fun, like reading together, coloring, drawing, singing, running around, creative play, and just being present with them. I’m happy to help with homework too, especially reading or simpler subjects (I’ll admit math is not my favorite 😂). I also enjoy teaching and helping children learn based on their age, personality, and what they may need extra support with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is trust on both sides. Parents are trusting you with the people they love most, and children need to feel safe, comfortable, and understood in your care. At the same time, I believe a nanny works best in an environment where there is mutual trust, communication, and respect, because that creates a healthier and more natural experience for everyone.

My experience with special needs children...

Yes. While much of my direct childcare experience has been with children, my professional home health aide/caregiving background has given me hands-on experience supporting individuals with developmental differences, cognitive limitations, behavioral needs, and varying levels of independence.

That experience has strengthened my patience, adaptability, communication, attentiveness, and ability to provide calm, structured, individualized support based on each person’s unique needs. I understand the importance of consistency, emotional awareness, gentle redirection, and creating a safe environment where the person feels supported, respected, and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is when both the child and the family make you feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable in their home. When you feel trusted, not just as someone hired to do a job, but as a real human being and supportive part of the household, it creates a stronger sense of connection, trust, and confidence. I believe children feel that energy too, and that’s when I feel most confident as a nanny, because trust, comfort, and genuine connection make it easier to create a warm and supportive environment for everyone.

Renee H. - Seeking Work in Fort Myers

Part-Time Nanny Available in Fort Myers, FL: Renee H.

Hi! I'm Renee, I'm 19 and studying psychology (child development) at FGCU. I've always loved working with kids and have been a nanny, daycare teacher, dance teacher, and babysitter for about 7 years now. I'm very comfortable with all ages of children, and large groups of children, and special needs children. I'm first aid and CPR trained, I don't currently hold a certification but I would be willing to retake the course if necessary. I'm flexible with my schedule just as long as it doesn't interfere with my classes and if there aren't too many last minute shifts added. I'm happy to do light house work, transportation, and watch friends without extra charges. Late nights are also not an issue!

Hello, My name is Dejounay! Growing up and over the recent years of my life, I have gotten used to family members and friends asking me to watch their baby. Since I want to work in the medical field, I’ve been practicing CPR and first aid consistently since I was in 8th grade both at home and at school. I’ve also learned to cook from a very young age and do it regularly. I am very delighted to help parents with their child whenever needed, and fulfill the needs of every child in my care. I can’t wait to work with you!
