My mom is a teacher for kids with special needs but she also has some without special needs so for NJHS, I would go to work with her, help around the classroom and play and read with the kids. I also babysit one of my mom’s old kids with her and I have three baby cousins who come up to our house and I take care of them!

My mom and I babysit a kid together who can’t speak so he has other ways of showing how he feels. One time I was reading a book with him and he grabbed my hand and got right in my face and smiled. It was one of the most heart warming moments of my life.
