Hi! My name is Emani J and I’m currently a college student entering my sophomore year. I’ve always loved being around kids and helping care for them.

I grew up in a daycare setting, so I’ve been surrounded by children of different ages my whole life and feel very comfortable in that environment. I also have hands-on experience helping care for my younger sister—we are 9 years apart, and I took on a big role in her care, especially during quarantine. I helped with daily responsibilities like preparing meals, bathing her, keeping her entertained, and taking her to sports, activities, etc.

These experiences have made me patient, responsible, and attentive. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids and making sure they feel safe, supported, and engaged.

I was old enough when she was born to help with infant care, including preparing bottles, feeding, bathing, and maintaining her daily routine. As she got older, I continued helping with meals, activities, and supervision. I also grew up in a daycare environment, so I’ve always been around children of different ages and feel very comfortable caring for them.
