Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy spending time with the children I care for by taking them for walks outside or playing with them outdoors. I also enjoy learning their interests and participating in these activities with them as well. For example, I have cared for children who were very artistic and enjoyed drawing and spent time doing this with them. I enjoy getting to know each child I meet and their gifts and talents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is developing a relationship with the children that allows them to feel comfortable. Each child I have the privilege of working with is like family to me. I am always looking to build a connection with the children as well as the families so that the parents are comfortable leaving their children and so the children are comfortable in my care as well. It is important to me that I treat these children as my own.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was with a a one year old girl, who I had cared for since she was born call me by my name for the first time. She pronounced it incorrectly and that became her nickname for me. Shortly after leaving her house one day, I was informed by her mother that she had said my name and asked when I was coming back.
