The most important part about being a nanny...
To me the most important part to being a nanny is building a relationship with the kid. While volunteering at the YMCA for the past few years, with every group I was assigned to, I built strong connection with at least half of the group of kids. I’m a great listener and I’m great at staying calm so kids love and feel comfortable with coming to me about any of their problems or concerns. I believe that building that safe space for children can make a impact on their life whether it be helping them feel more confident in themselves, giving them reassurance so they know their voice matters, or just being a positive presence with them. I want to support their emotional growth, encourage curiosity, and creates a bond that makes them feel understood and valued.
