I have babysat for families for 5 years. I was a nanny for two different families. I also was a middle school camp counselor and a camp counselor for K-12 for 2 years. I worked in a nursery for 2 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going to the park or doing anything where we can get outdoors! Making crafts especially for each holiday that’s coming up. Dance parties and karaoke are a favorite. Playing dress up or playing with their favorite interests at the moment.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked in a church nursery where we had special needs children we had to chaperone separately. I also babysat for 2 years a nonverbal autistic child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Too many to write down! One that I always love is when I start watching babies and they grow up and getting to see all of their milestones and hear them learn my name. Watching them learn how to crawl and walk and getting to be apart of their childhood.
