I think the most important part about being a nanny is being someone that the kids can trust and rely on when their parents aren't around. I want the kids to feel comfortable around me more than anything. I also think it's really important to create a fun and engaging environment for the kids!
My experience with special needs children...
At my past full-time nannying position I was responsible for an 8 year old with severe autism. He was non-verbal and still in diapers. I fell in love with him and it has opened my eyes to a whole new world and I'm so grateful for that experience.
