A little bit about me

My name is Emily Gallego, I am 22 years old and I am currently a full time student at the University of Arizona majoring in Pre-Medicine. I hope to attend medical school. I will be graduating this May but I’m taking a gap year to have some time to travel before starting school again. Currently, I work at Banner University Medical Center as a patient care assistant and I have been here for almost 2 years. With this, I also have my CPR certification. With this job I have also gained a lot of caregiver experience such as feeding assistance, bathing and person hygiene assistance, dressing assistance and more. Another fun fact, I have 5 siblings! One of my siblings has Down syndrome and autism so I have a fair amount of experience with special needs. Growing up, I used to help out with the children’s ministry at my church such as helping out with children’s worship and vacation bible school. I have always enjoyed working with kids and I hope I can find a career where I can keep doing so!
