Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have done lots of work with kids of all ages. I grew up with three siblings and have been babysitting them since I was 12. They were 10, 6, and 4 years old. I was a youth leader for several years, which includes children ages 10 through 18. I have volunteered at Dr. Charles E Murphy Elementary School in Montville, and I currently work part time as a practicum student at Nathan Hale Arts Magnet School in New London, which both include grades K-5.

I love playing games, doing art, dancing, coloring, and so much more! If there is something your child enjoys doing, I am willing to learn about it and do it with them!
My experience with special needs children...
My youngest brother and nephew both have high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I have babysat them both. When I was in middle school, I took a life-skills class to work with students with disabilities as well, and those two things led me to my current career goal. Since then, I have volunteered to work with special needs students in Sunday school, in a library class, and more. I have worked at NHAMS now for almost a full school year, and as a studying school psychologist, I have worked with students of many abilities. NHAMS has multiple self-contained classrooms for students with more profound mental and physical disabilities, and I have also worked with students who are able to be in their general education setting full time. I complete assessments, evaluations, counseling, and more with students that have all kinds of disabilities.
