More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered on and off for 2 years at a horse ranch therapy center. As volunteers we would help kids that were both special needs and just normal kids, connect with horses through riding them and taking care of them. It was an amazing opportunity to really connect with children and to help them have a good, fun, and relaxing time for a few hours.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing just about anything with children, some of my personal favorites would be taking them to the zoo, playing at the park on the swingset, and fun days at the pool.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me personally, it is all about being an extension of the children's parents. I want the children to have a good time, but ultimately I do not want to do anything their parents wouldn't already be doing. I am here to help them grow and learn, while being safe/responsible, and having fun along the way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I haven't had much experience with nannying, but I have babysat for many family and friends' children. One of the little girls I babysat, she was very intelligent for her age. One day I sat and created a whole morning routine with her, in order, with times and everything. She had asked me to help her because she "wanted to be an adult and mommy always says I need to be more organized." It was so cute, how could I have possibly said no? We even went as far to put everything in colors and decorate the board we were using.
