Every child grows at their own pace, and it’s essential to support them with patience, encouragement, and love. Whether celebrating small victories, helping them navigate big emotions, or simply being a steady, comforting presence, creating a safe and nurturing environment helps them build confidence and thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

I had the privilege of caring for a wonderful boy with a rare gene deletion (presented as ASD) from 6 months to 4 years old, supporting his growth and development in a nurturing and patient way. I worked closely with his team of therapists, especially in speech, to reinforce his progress and communication skills in daily activities. Through this experience, I learned to be adaptable and creative, celebrating his milestones while providing a consistent and supportive environment. Every child is unique, and this role deepened my understanding of the importance of collaboration, sensory-friendly activities, and fostering a space where he felt safe, understood, and encouraged to thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was watching two little ones, both just learning to walk, share a sweet milestone together. One boy was working on two-hand motor coordination, and the other, part of our nanny share, noticed and gently showed him how to clap. The moment he caught on, they both started clapping together, shouting “Yay!” with huge smiles. It was such a pure and heartwarming moment of joy and connection!
