A little bit about me

Hi! Im a 24 year old who has just finished her associates in theatre arts, with college credits in elementary and early childhood education. I have been working with kids since I was 16 in many different spaces and situations. I currently work for CPS as a substitute teacher and Im looking for a position for over the summer. I nannied a set of elementary school twins and a middle schooler during the pandemic for 3 years. I have taught children how to swim, and for the past 7 years I have volunteered at Solomon Elementary School to assistant direct their annual spring musical. I have a passion for inspiring curiosity and encouraging students with a growth mindset when things become challenging. I believe children should have autonomy in a structured, safe environment. I work currently as a substitute teacher for CPS, I have worked as a nanny, swim instructor, children’s theatre director, and assistant preschool teacher.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love coloring or working on arts and crafts! Especially with the younger kiddos to help tune their fine motor skills. I am a big musical theatre person so I love introducing the kids to new music to sing along and dance to. I also love taking the children outside for a god old fashioned game of hide and seek or tag.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping children happy, safe, and fulfilled both physically and mentally. Also having a relationship with the child! Letting them know I am a safe, trusted, adult.
