Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked briefly at the Daily Family YMCA in Bixby as one of their daycare workers. I resolved conflicts between the children, helped to keep them engaged and entertained, assisted the other associates in cleaning and thoroughly sanitizing all toys/games/books, and kept up with the sign in/outs for families.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to read, do arts and crafts, play board games, video games, and pretend play! I'm also good with toys, dolls or legos, outdoor play, and taking nature walks around the block.
My experience with special needs children...
I've also briefly worked as a helper in a special needs classroom while I was in high school. I helped the students complete schoolwork, practice spelling and reading. I also helped them with practicing social skills, like saying hello, using their indoor voices, keeping hands/limbs to themselves, and how to cooperate in a group setting.
