I was the daughter of a teacher so as I got older, helping out with the young students was something I did frequently. On top of that babysitting here and there for other teachers and my own family.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Absolutely anything they’re up for! I’ve been in positions where we did art inside, played outside with their own toys, balls, made-up games, etc. I’ve just sat back and watched a movie with them. I’m up for anything, every child has different interests so ultimately you have to learn what those are.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I genuinely think it’s about the communication between not only me and the parent but me and the child as well. It’s going to be different for every kid (newborn to toddler) and it’s all a matter of learning them and what they want/need.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have much with experience with special needs children, however I do currently with a special needs adult currently. It may benefit a parent with special needs children to understand that I do have some experience in that area overall.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’m not sure I have enough nannying JOB experience necessarily, but nannying my own family members moment would be playing games outside and then I made lunch for us and it was such a joyous moment. She was all cuddles afterwards and fell asleep watching a show!
